Had MAJOR!!!! with the "rangers" every single I've been there. Today, I was told I couldn't wait for a park when 3 diffeent groups of people were clearly loading their vehicle up to leave. We were told it was first come, first serve but weren't allowed to actually pull onto the shoulder to wait for the 5 mins it took for the other people to pack up. We were told that there was no parking on the shoulder of the road, but if we're sitting there waiting inside the car (with it on) I'm not sure how that's parking and we were then told by the rangers that they would call law enforcement on us & have us immediately towed if we didn't move. However, as we circled around a bit to do as we were told, 2 other vehicles were allowed to do what we were just told we could have law enforcement called for & then the other vehicles were allowed to get the parks that we had been circling at waiting for. We could literally see 3 other available parks in the lot but were told we couldn't go in because they were "at capacity" in the lot (not at the beach) just in the lot. I'm not sure how a full lot had 3 open spaces with no...

Found this little gem not too long ago, if there ever was a better beach I haven't been there yet. Definitely off the beaten path but worth the drive, especially if your headed to alligator point anyway, might as well stop by, there is a park entrance fee, only a couple bucks, and if you have a state park pass they are good for any state park in Florida, there is also plenty of places to pull over on the way there and plenty of beach in both directions. I have never not caught a fish here, sea trout, black bass, Spanish mackerel, shark, redfish, black drum, even a triple tail from land! Tons of oyster bars that attract a lot of baitfish that you can easily catch with a cast net, and plenty of room to fish or just lay out and enjoy, best part is there is limited parking so it never gets over crowded! When the full moon comes the tide goes out an incredible amount, you can damn near walk across the bay to shell point! And you can walk at least a quarter mile or more out from the beach.its really something to see, there are also tons of horse shoe...

The facilities are really nice. The beach wasn’t super pretty the day we went. Pros: tons of fun and interesting wildlife. We saw probably hundreds of nesting horseshoe crabs, tons of flying fish, some hermit crabs, and lots of birds. We also caught sight of a small alligator in one of the adjacent ponds. Nearly empty beach. I love having the beach to myself! Very calm shallow water. My kids could wade out a really long way without any concern. All the facilities were very nice, well-maintained, and clean. The beach is an easy walk from both parking lots. Cons: The day we went thick mounds of dried seaweed line to the beach as far as I walked in either direction. If you go to the far end of the beach, the water is tea colored. The beach at the end is also pretty narrow. The nearest restaurant is almost half an hour away, so make sure you pack a snack/picnic and...

We had a remarkable afternoon at Bald Point State Park. First, we saw a bald eagle carrying a fish it had just caught. The eagle was being chased by turkey vultures and eventually dropped the fish. Then, at the beach at Bald Point, we saw dozens of mating horseshoe crabs and scores of shorebirds and pelicans. Cormorants were fishing about 50 yards out from the beach. Finally, we saw a dolphin swimming near the beach. We were startled when it made a huge splash about 15 feet from shore, evidently feeding on small fish. It went out about 30 yards, then rushed toward the shore again ending in a big splash. It did this five or six times, once with a foot long fish jumping out of the water in front of the dolphin trying to save itself. We just stopped by to check out the park and were amazed at the variety of wildlife there! It was definitely worth the stop!
