I know this casino is definitely for locals. That being said, many of the locals were very nice including the security guards. We went two nights in a row. On the first night, we entered with our masks on and other people outside were in line without masks on but also entered without any questions. They scan your driver's license before going in to help with contact tracing for covid, but wearing a mask was not a requirement for anyone other than employees. Once inside it was very smoky and quite busy. You could find a machine to play on but sometimes it was hard to squeeze between the plexiglass and the seats to sit down. On the first night, the bartender was pretty rude and very slow. They were busy and she definitely needed more help but she still had a very negative attitude towards non-local customers. she also poured our drinks out of sight so we couldn't see if we were actually getting what we ordered and that we were being poured the right amount. My first drink did not taste like it had any alcohol in it at all.
On the second night, we were the only ones in the entry line with masks on (again). This time while scanning my driver's license they asked if we had read the covid safety requirements, which we found weird considering we were the only ones wearing a mask. Once inside, it was still crowded and Smokey and there were a few more people wearing masks but still at least 80% of people were not wearing masks. The bar service was better on the second night with the new bartender, but like the night before she was very busy and needed extra help that was not provided. She did pour the drinks right in front of us and used a jigger to measure out the alcohol.
This place had a lot of security for such a small space. It made me wonder why they needed so much security, but we never had a problem and if we are ever back in crescent City we would return to this casino.
From the pictures the food looks good but we did not eat here as they do not offer any gluten-free choices which...

Review:
Tucked away in the scenic embrace of Crescent City, right where the Pacific Ocean's waves whisper tales of old, you'll stumble upon Elk Valley Casino - a delightful merger of nature's grandeur and man's pursuit of entertainment.
Before even stepping inside, the casino's parking lot offers a spectacle that could rival any main attraction. Sprawling open fields stretch out before you, occasionally graced by the elegant saunter of elks, making the name "Elk Valley" feel ever so apt. If Mother Nature had a preferred casino, I'd wager this would be it.
Size-wise, Elk Valley Casino isn't a sprawling megastructure, but that's part of its charm. It feels intimate, yet comprehensive. A considerable upgrade from its previous abode, the new location captures the essence of Crescent City while offering modern gaming amenities.
Now, let's talk about the bar and restaurant. Imagine nestling into a cozy spot, drink in hand, as friendly faces serve up delectable dishes. The ambiance is inviting, the staff endearing, and the food? Well, it's the kind that makes you think, "One more bite, just one more."
In essence, Elk Valley Casino is not just a pit stop; it's an experience. Whether you're rolling the dice at the casino tables, soaking in nature's splendor, or simply enjoying a hearty meal, this place has something for everyone. So, if you find yourself in Crescent City with an appetite for both beauty and a good game, Elk Valley Casino is your ace in the hole. Remember, in this unique casino, you can bet on both nature and a...
Read moreThe newly remodeled Casino opened last Nov. Although, its absolutely stunning with the upgrades and views, the casino itself has extremely tight slots. I came w my partner another couple. We arrived a little after lunch time and it was extremely slow. The sign says seat yourself and our waitress.. Angela? Was immediately friendly, took our drink orders all was well but when she brought them back, she forgot the beer order. She left for some time and came back to take our food order (still didnât bring the beer) Walked away and waited 10 mins till our friend went to the bar and asked the bartender for the beer. It was poured and sat there for 10 mins she forgot. We waited another 35 mins for our food.
We had a vegetarian in our party and the menu does not offer vegetarian options.. We were told they will be changing the menu quarterly.. Please add more veggie options, the salad bar shouldnât be the only option
What we ordered Fish and Chips â Breaded not battered. Could have been better. Looked boxed. BLT â Bacon on the side (vegetarian add avocado) â Listen, lettuce is cheapâŚ. its ok to add more than 1 piece on a sandwich. The onion rings were burnt! We asked for better ones and thankfully we got them fairly quickly. French Dip Sando with taters â Best thing on the menu, taters cooked perfectly!
The food should not take 45 mins, please hire kitchen staff and servers with a...
