Redwood National and State Parks — Attraction in Crescent City

The staff at the Visitor Center were very helpful in suggesting hikes through the forests. I went right after Labor Day and got to the Parks by 8am, so there were few people and enjoyed the park and some of the trees by myself or with maybe another couple also being early birds. Redwood National Park is one of the most beautiful places I've ever been. As soon as you step into the redwood forest, it feels like you've been transported to an entirely different world! The trees are huge and stately, and the trails are full of interesting plants and animals. We saw clover, moss, ferns, and the amazing redwoods towering over it all. It was a truly magical experience. It felt so serene and peaceful that I didn't want to leave. Traveled to Prairie Creek Redwood State Park. The 10 mile drive thru the park was great. Lots and lots of Old Redwood trees that have not been logged. Stopped at the visitor center and the the park service employee informed us the these trees were older trees that have not been logged. It was a mind blowing experience. Just breath taking.
