Family Fun Zone — Attraction in Crest Hill

First time customers here and the place was alright. It was clean and had lots of seating which isn't always the case and the staff was very friendly.

The music was good and the rink was a pretty good size but I did notice it had some bumpy and uneven spots and I wasn't a huge fan of the fact that you had to step down onto the rink especially with a 4 year old who was using the skate buddy.

The only reason I probably won't be going back is the price. $11 per person for admission and normal skates (plus another $5 for the skate buddy for my 4 year old) is almost double what some of the other places around charge and it's only open for 3 hours.

The upside of that was that the place was nearly empty on a Sunday afternoon with at most probably a dozen skaters on the floor at any time so there was plenty of space and I didn't have to worry about my 4 year old getting in anyone's way or being knocked over.

They also have a decent arcade section with a standard 4 tokens for $1, but most of the games took 4 tokens to play so it was more expensive then places like Chuck E Cheese or Haunted Trails for the same games.

We weren't there long enough to need the restrooms so I can't comment on their state and after spending almost 40 to get in, we opted not to eat there either.

Overall, it wasn't a bad experience and my kid had fun but I felt like I could have gotten way more bang for my buck had we gone elsewhere. The lack of crowd was nice, but it's hard to say if it was really worth how much...

We came here for a school skate event. Never again. Half the arcade games were broken or they ate our tokens. Even though they gave us tokens back that we lost, it was annoying to constantly have to find someone to get them. Then some machines said we won 20 tickets but only gave us 5. So we had to find someone again for those. The ATM doesn't work while someone is running a credit card apparently, so half the time when you swipe your card it gives you no money. And you have to do it all over again. (Then I was told I had to call the ATM provider to complain because that wasn't their problem, because it's not their machine.) The food and drinks are incredibly overpriced, and not very good, the toys are worse than Chuck E Cheese or Haunted Trails, the skate rink isn't really a rink. There's no walls or anything, it's just a big open floor with big awkward circle seats in the middle which don't seem to serve any purpose. My daughter who is just learning how to skate had nothing to stabilize her (like a wall normally would) So we got her a "skate trainer" then got yelled at by some kid because we grabbed one since no one was around to help, and we didn't know they charged for them. ($5.00 to rent a piece of plastic with wheels on it, which didn't help her at all). Also, your shoes will stick to the carpet, and the bathrooms were just shy of disgusting. I have no clue how this place has...

I would of gave them an extra star if the manager from Saturday night Feb 24 2018 wasn't such an insensitive jerk. I brought my daughter her to do something different than the usual bounce house indoor play. She is autistic so I never know how she's going to react sometimes. I thought the music was fine but it was hurting her ears.everytime I turned my head someone kept taking our walker that they hold onto when they skate. Finally after getting her skates on and eventually getting our thing back. We tried the skating. That wasn't happening she had a tantrum n pulled them off. So I decided this wasn't going good. Ok went to bring the skates and the training thing back for a refund because we were only there for 15 20 minutes at most when the manager came and said. I'm not going to refund you because your kid decides they don't want to skate. What a crumb!!!! So, i gave my receipt and wrist band to some kids coming in and we left. I can't believe they hire such insensitive people to work with kids. The place also needs major updating the bathrooms are old looking as well as the arcade and old carpet on the floors. Other than that, it was over priced as well. We will not be coming back here. I'd rather travel to Fleetwood than give them another dollar...
