Read moreRemember bringing my adult son's here when they were kids. I was so disappointed 😞 to discover that they no longer had the water park when I took my grandsugars. But, the park didn't disappoint them (5-year-old twin boys) as they had a ball. However, Mawmaw promised them water, and that's what they were going to get. So, Mawmaw travels down to the paddle/peddle boat. In my mind, I already know that this is not going to end well! We go inside the shop and I tell them that I would like to rent a peddle boat. He suggested the one that would be the easiest for me since my companions are vertically challenged and I would be peddling alone. We get our life jackets. The young helped us onto the boat, and Mawmaw started to peddle. If course, the lil people insisted on peddling. So I oblige them. They tried with their hands (hilarious), then short of sitting on the floor, Derriere raised, the boat began to move. Going nowhere fast 🤣🤣🤣. The young attendant came back out and asked if we were ok? I said yes, explaining that my lil companions wanted to try to peddle. He understood. It was scorching on that water. Mawmaw takes over the peddling, and we begin to move. Omg my legs felt like weights. In my head, I'm saying legs don't fail me now! Afterward, what appears to have been forever, we head back to the dock. I'm praying, Lord. Please let my legs work when it's time to get off. The young man helped us off, and I'm telling the boy's this is a job for your dad's legs. Mawmaw is too old for this!! We proceeded into the rental shop, and they presented me with a refund because we had only been out there for 20 minutes🤣🤣🤣🤣 I know they felt sorry for this grandma and I know it brought them a good belly laugh. Our day ended with a visit to the 'Book Nook'! Heaven for any librarian,...
