Avoid this place! Owner refuses to accept responsibility for his own employee's neglegence!
My buddy and I visited this place this morning as we had been here in the past and sat on the deck to people watch and had a good time.
My friend arrived ahead of me by 5 minutes and was all distraught when my girl and I arrived. He walked out and showed me the window and side of his 2 month old SUV. The passenger rear window was completely shattered, and there were little dings up and down the side. When I asked him what had happened, he explained that the owner's son had been weed eating on the edge of the drive and didn't stop his activities as he was driving past him. As he was driving past the trimmer caught a bunch of rocks and threw them into the side of his vehicle and one of the rocks had actually broken his window!
When he asked the owner about how he was going to remedy this, the owner stated that he didn't know for sure that it had happened there and how did he know for sure that it didn't happen down the road. He basically accused him of trying to get the window replaced on his dime when he hadn't done anything wrong. Well when I looked at this, there was a few pieces of glass in the back. Anyone with any amount of common sense would know that when a car window gets broken, that crap goes everywhere. So, if this was the case, how was the window still 95% intact? (Shattered but intact) Why did the owners son come running up at first after he had realized what had happened, then to later change his story after his dad told him to shut up right in front of us?
Long story short, avoid this dishonest establishment and it's unethical owner. Now instead of just replacing the window and being done with it, he'll be getting taken to small claims court, paying for my friends attorney fees, court costs, and lost wages from going to court, he will be out ALOT more coin then he would have been if he had just manned up and sucked it up and accepted responsibility for...
Read moreThis place has great ambiance. The food was great! We ordered 4 chilli cheese dogs and a pretzel with cheese. To be honest the pretzel was the size of an olive garden bread stick. That was a smidge disappointing. The next order of buisness are the chilli dogs! They charge you 50 cents per dog for onion so be cognizant of that. They had put shredded cheese on them and charged 2.00 extra for each dog when we just order a chilli cheese dog with onion and jalapeños. After making the server aware of the situation she eventually did rectify 90 percent of the issue. However I still never got the refund for the onion even though it wasn't shown on menu as extra. 2.00 total for onion is steep especially after paying 4.50 for a "chilli cheese dog". We will probably be back for the beer and maybe a snack. It was a cool place to hang out with a great view! We won't let this mediocre experience keep us away. I still will support this...
Read moreI had a client that would not shut up about this place, so i decided to try it. Took me a while to get there, but wasnt to far. It was my birthday and decided i was going to go fishing and have a good time.
The Good: Good atmosphere Pier was in decent shape There was water...
The bad: Place really needed to be cleaned up, bottles were everywhere and trash was very visible. Fishing was bad. I used: Spinners, Crank bait, rattle bait, jerk bait, worms, creature lures, live worms, top water jigs.. NOTHING... Probably just my luck, but was a little disappointed cause it was my birthday. NO WAKE ZONE!!! There were idiots ALL day long speeding past this place and would make waves like you couldn't imagine. No lights if you wanted to go fishing at night.
Overall, i might give this place a try again... but just make sure i would read every fishing report on the lake as possible to know when they...
