Hubby and I enjoyed a trip through this wonderful home on one of our many visits to Crossville, Tn. Very few of these original homesteads are as they were when first built. Some are in bad shape, have not been taken care of, some have been overly remodeled to the point of no longer looking like the original building. This beautiful homestead cost very little to view, the furniture is some of the original owners, and you get a little taste of what life was like in the 30's. Unfortunately the lady at the tower could not even answer a simple question as to who owned the building. I know now that it's a foundation and often foundations use volunteers.
