The lake is approximately 16 miles south of Stanley and 33 miles northwest of Ketchum. Pettit Lake is accessed from State Highway 75 via Sawtooth National Forest road 205.

Some of these reviews are complete lies. Shallow n cold, simple 14-20 ft considered shallow then ok. Why it cold, it cold after 10 feet cause of the under water river feeding it. You can even feel the current lol dragging looking for bodies I was there all week living at the cottage and saw nothing. Might have gotten this...

Don't go there it's awful. Polluted, mucky, shallow, ice cold year round. I went there and the state police where dragging the bottom...
