Rutledge Farms — Attraction in Crystal Springs

Rutledge Farm is a huge grower of a great assortment of Vegetables and produce. They have it down to a "Science" and Mom and Pop are passing it on now to at least the third generation! It's a huge family business..even the grandchildren have their own plots to raise their crops on! You can buy corn, peanuts, purple hull peas and much more right there in the field...pick your own it or buy it back at their sheds for sorting, weighing, and selecting your own. I was delighted to purchase fresh okra! I got all I can use for a mere $5! Great deal! Back in the summer, I got 5lbs of Tomatoes for $10 and I was able to select some for eating now, some just beginning to ripen and some green ones and not a one of them spoiled before we used them. Their fall tomatoes are due in soon. Crystal Springs tomatoes are the Ultimate tomato in flavor...I think a person would be hard put to find a better tasting one. Haw, they are "Doughlish"! I saw a sign up , "Sweet Potatoes'...I hope to get some before they are gone. Rutledge Farms are well worth your time and money and easy to find off Hwy.28E. not far from Hazlehurst going...
