The beach was such a wonderful experience that I have a hard time giving it any negative reviews however there are a few cons you should know about. First let's start with the pros.
PROS Not very crowded with typically only those who have rented snorkeling gear or ocean kayaks Beach front is long and curved but does require walking to access it Water is very clear and a light blue green Depth is roughly 15 feet deep 100 meters from shore with good visibility to ocean floor In three hours there were 4 modern sea turtles grazing on the sea grass, 3 light grey stingrays, plenty of colorful fish small to big, flounders in the sandy bottom, various crabs and many small reefs to explore
CONS Very limited parking Only one access point to the beach The beach is only sandy at the access point for roughly 50 meters in either direction Beyond the sandy beach area the shoreline becomes rocky with old coral and requires some kind of shoes (sneakers, flipflops, etc.)
All it all this beach is worth the trip for the snorkeling experience. If you enjoy hanging out in the sun with access to local food and drink then this is not the beach for you. And should you need snorkeling gear then try Culebra Divers in the ferry terminal next to Hotel Kokomo. Affordable prices with...
Read moreVery nice beach to snorkel at, the coral reefs and sea life was an awesome site to see for myself. I will come back to this beach for sure again. Next time I'll come here on my stay here at Culebra. Came here with East Island Excursion and this was the highlight of the day as for the rest for the day was ok at best. East Island Excursion is over rated in my opinion because It was only ok for me but the excursion time is to short for the price we paid. I won't use them again,...

I do not recommend it for relaxing on the “beach” because there is really nowhere to do that. We were easily able to arrange transport through the folks that ran the Flamenco Beach kiosk where you rent beach chairs. They also had snorkel gear for rent and took us to the...
