We used Stone Bridge as our wedding venue and we could not have been happier! They are LGBT-friendly, incredibly accommodating, and the day-of wedding coordinator Lisa is an absolute rockstar. She was doing things behind-the-scenes without any fuss at all that made the day go smoothly, and she was doing this all day long! Her experience and expertise is unmatched. She was an incredibly calming presence during stressful times, and ran the wedding right on schedule. We were able to plan our wedding with Stone Bridge from out-of-state, with multiple outside vendors, and Lisa was able to put everything together without a hitch. The owner, Ron, also helped make sure our paperwork was correct which was a huge relief. The food...was... AMAZING. All of our guests were impressed by the taste of our menu and the beauty of both the ceremony and reception space.
Onto the flowers. Oh my gosh, do we ever love the florist. Anne is incredibly sweet, and took diligent notes to make sure we were happy. Even though some of the flowers we requested were out of season, she was still able to provide alternatives that matched our vision. We provided her with collages of what we wanted and trusted her vision from there, which was definitely the right way to go. Lisa also helped make sure we were given the truly extraordinary boutonnieres we asked for.
We used the hay ring for our ceremony and it made the perfect backdrop. The horses and ducks on the property gave the guests a lovely surprise to watch, and we got unexpected, beautiful photos with the animals.
We also had our friends and family stay on the houses and cabins on property, which was the best treat. ALL the properties are absolutely huge with plenty of space for games, cooking, and getting ready.
While we originally chose the cove as our ceremony venue, it was flooded and unusable, so we switched to the manor lawn which was perhaps even more beautiful. The planning team at Stone Bridge ensured we would be happy despite the change - and we were. We can't say enough positive things about how the venue handled our big day. STOP LOOKING AND GET...
Read moreI recently attended a wedding at Stonebridge Farms and was, at first, delighted by the well-maintained grounds and lovely setting. However, while staying in the Farmhouse, I noticed several inexpensive but important items that were overlooked during the furnishing of the lodging.
Upon entering the house, there is a convenient half-bath in the foyer. However, the door to this bath does not include a lock, which is extremely unfortunate due to its placement just steps from the front door. Additionally, the half bath included no mirror and no towel ring for the hand towel which ended up partially in the sink and included a damp corner for the balance of the stay.
The farmhouse-style kitchen was appropriately furnished and included many high-end touches (a farmhouse sink, wall oven, and a pot-filler over the stove) along with flatware and other necessities but did not include kitchen towels.
The spacious master bedroom and master bath evoked visions of a relaxing bubble bath prior to drifting off to contented sleep. In reality, the bath included no useable outlets to allow for guests to easily style their hair (it was located under the counter where many styling tool power cords could not reach) and no towel bars, hooks, or rings on which to keep drying towels. The master bedroom also did not include a mirror outside of the bath to facilitate wedding day preparations for the family members staying there.
In the guest hall, the availability of a shower and commode for each of the two guest rooms was much appreciated. Again however, there were no towel bars and only a mirror in the shared sink area. While this might initially seem appropriate, challenges arise when more than one individual requires a mirror to prepare for a wedding (which is almost always even if just for a quick glance to make sure everything is in place).
It’s unfortunate, really, that a lovely venue with such potential would allow such small, guest-oriented details to fall by the wayside keeping it from being a truly...
Read moreMy first experience with SBF today. We had our annual family Christmas Eve dinner get together. Five stars for sure. The selections were plentiful and quality was excellent. And as many have told me, the grounds are beautiful. The entire experience was very welcoming and will make for a great memory. I must brag on our waitress. Without her, just another afternoon out for a decent meal. Her name is Sasha Hunter. They threw away the mold when they made her. She told me she was a "rookie" in your Ledgers Steakhouse and normally worked elsewhere (banquet facility?) on your campus.
Sasha handled my "gang" like a pro. From drinks and hors d'oeuvres to the entrees and deserts, she worked very hard, was very professional and courteous yet, has that level of friendliness that makes you feel at home. She even took a group photo of us as we gathered around the outdoor fireplace. Her knowledge, skills, and abilities are superb. You won the lottery when you employed her. No idea what your pay scale is but I hope it's high. If not, I'll just find her elsewhere. She's absolutely worth it. As you well know, great service is the name of the game.
Thank you for a memorable...
