There are no words to truly Express the experience of Cumberland Islands that especially Stafford beach. We camped at site 8 which was hey beautiful spot. There were ticks in abundance so I would highly suggest using deep spray continuously. The possibility of seeing wild animals and a small 0.2 mile hike to the beach from the campsite was nice. I would recommend experienced Backpackers who Pack Light and respect the leave no Trace as well as the month they choose to visit because Nature by itself can be brutal if you are not prepared. There is potable water at the campsite, bathrooms and cold showers . Be on the lookout for wild animals and respect the distance that is necessary for them to feel safe. If you do this you can capture some really beautiful pictures and enjoy nature as it stands. I would recommend you download the map before going because there is no cell reception. We will be back!
