We went on the weekdays, early morning, it was quiet, water is calm, nice and still a bit cool, it's wavy only when there is any motor boat passing by. Lots of fishes, my kids had fun swimming around trying to catch them 🤣, lots of geese too, so be careful stepping on the grass or sand as there are many geese droppings but my kids were having so much fun watching all these wildlife up close 😁⛱️👍.The parkings site is very convenient, just right in front of the beach but no shade at all ( unlike Buford Dam Beach that has tons of trees around the beach area and parking sites). There are picnic tables and grills by the grass area which are shaded by trees. Overall we still enjoy this park and definitely will be our hang out spot this summer. Next time we will try kayaking, I have seen few people were enjoying themselves kayaking along the beach area. Will get their annual pass which is only $30 ( can't beat the price). Caution "No lifeguard on duty" if you forgot to bring floaties/ life jacket for yourself and your kids they have loaner life jacket by the beach, just don't forget to put them back after use. Or better yet don't forget to bring your own even if you're a strong swimmer, there were few casualties...

The Great Beach for a lot of things. Just to sit on the beach, enjoy your feet in the sand, It's got a very long shoreline and it's nice to splash around in, there's also picnic benches as well as charcoal grills that you can utilize for free, and there's two boat docks which you can put your boat or jet ski in the water at, It's a clean beach for the most part and there's also a grassy area where you can set up a volleyball net or have a big get together. There's a marina close so you can watch the large boats going in and out, but my big complaint is it cost $10 to get in daily. That's a little much!!! I believe you can buy a year pass, and if you're a senior it cost less but I believe they should bring the cost down to $5. Overall I believe this is one of the top five beaches on...

Thoroughly enjoyed the "beach" here. Sunday afternoon in late July, so it was not overly crowded. Did not use the restroom facilities, which were at the beginning of the beach parking so can't comment as of yet. Disappointed seeing charcoal dumped everywhere on the far side but mainly because my daughter had a knack for stepping in them. I definitely recommend bringing jugs of water to wash the grass & dirt off of everything. Real white beach sand from my home town is a lot easier to dust off than this dirt, but hey... I'm out in the country now. Also glad I did not have to contend with people who would rate any beach area on Lanier Lake one star just because they can't let their pets run wild around numerous...

This is where I parked. $10 for the day. As a kayaker, I wasn't much interested in the recreation area. I did notice a station with loaner life vests, which is thoughtful. There is no great place to put in a Kayak, but it is possible. They divert you away from the boat ramp area if you aren't towing one. I spent the day on the water. When I got out, I noticed many of the beachgoers were quite trashy. They left life vests all over the beach instead of returning them. I had to step around a discarded diaper to get up to my car. No one bothered my car or my stuff at any point. An officer stopped to ask if I had a good day and was watching over the visitors at closing time.

A secret escape! Mary Alice Beach Park offers a nice getaway beach day for the family that is quite local. This is a small public beach off Lake Lanier with scenic views and tropical water temperatures. The shoreline is quite rocky and uncomfortable for those with tender feet. However once you are a few yards to the water this goes away. Being a small public beach it can rapidly fill up on a weekend making social distancing a potential challenge. Yet, a weekday excursion even in July allowed plenty of room between families and groups. Highy recommended beach!

A beautiful picnic place to spend time with family. Be careful on the beach, follow the marks. Make sure you keep eyes on your kids. There was one shelter we had a family picnic. The place was supposed to be close before April but gates were opened for Boats and people took benefit of it. Very calm place to go see the long view on water, even if you are alone. We will definitely come back again to see if we can do bbq here. Restrooms are closed except for summers. Be sure to check the park status before you go. Do not forget the bug spray and sunscreen.
