I Enjoy the park overall, took my kids lots of times for different activities. Please BEWARE on the splash pad, there is a large rusty 3/4 bolt head sticking out on the bottom of a water bar. Many kids will duck under it, my son did one time and caught the bolt and gashed his head open about a inch long cut. He was terrified and blood was all over his face and shirt. We took him to emergency at Northside and they put several staples in his head.
it seemed strange for him to get such a bad cut from a smooth metal bar, so I went back later and located the bolt on bottom of the bar. I included a picture of the bolt, you can actually see it on the cover of awesome Dawson magazine. As an automotive and aerospace engineer for many years it was shocking to see this designed in such a negligent way and if the design required the bolt to be exposed as such, a simple smooth plastic cap over the belt head could help...

The women's bathroom at the pavilion near the soccer field does have a broken lock but otherwise, the maintenance is kept up...

There's also a rec center that offers a gym and different fitness classes and there's a really pretty creek where you can spot lots of different wildlife if you stop and look. They are making improvements to the park now. They fixed the part of the trail that used to get flooded every time it rained. It's so much better. I just hope they're planning to put bathrooms by the playground because that's the one drawback...
