One of the smallest state parks in Pennsylvania, Upper Pine Bottom State Park consists of a pull off area on PA route 44 with a few picnic tables and access to a few hiking trails nearby. There are no facilities at this park so it adheres to the “carry in carry out” policy for picnickers to dispose of their trash. The stream is beautiful and the park provides an access point for fishing the native trout stream flowing through the park.

Not really a park. More of a pull off area with a picnic table. But the stream and waterfall is literally right there, no hike required. Be aware, when we went last week, there are deep intermittent holes near the edge of the bank. Unsure if they were animal holes, or just weak spots where the ground collapsed in due to erosion. Just watch your step. It's quite peaceful and worth a stop for tranquility.

Nice pocket park right off Route 44. Picnic tables by the water. Fishing in the Upper Pine Bottom Run. The hiking trail connects to the nearby Pine Creek Rail Trail. For events at this park visit: events dcnr pa For more information: pa parks and forests (diamond)
