Our family attended the Renaissance faire, as we have the past few years, last weekend, Aug 5th. The admission prices were $20 per person, and honestly it was far from worth it. Half of the vendors that we were used to seeing weren't there, including both booths and food. The food trucks that were there, as well as the food pavilion, were well overpriced for the offerings. Not to mention they kept running out of turkey legs. Speaking to a few vendors both during and outside the faire, the administration hiked the vendor prices upwards of 3 times the regular price. The entrance fee with parking ($37) was much more than we expected, especially with a veteran and senior in our party.
The most interesting thing was the tractor parade. Food was reasonably priced. It seemed like most of the Fair was dedicated to rides and food concessions, rather than cultural and agricultural stuff, which was disappointing.
It wasn't worth the drive...
