Just a heads up. While walking on the watershed trail a little past the stone spring house & the cinderblock structures going toward the barn area I stopped & told my husband 2 listen. It was very obvious there was a rattle snake behind me. I am thankful that I did not turn around & look or step back. My husband who was on my left extended his hand & I walked calmly over 2 him. Frankly I was surprised. Just b aware of where u r walking. This was a very narrow part of the path that didn't seemed 2 b walked on alot. I haven't seen any copperheads yet. Unfortunately, they don't give warning. So it appears they aren't in...

We did this hike today after being in the Lancaster area for a day”ish” trip. We loved this hike!

We chose the inner loop which ended up being about 2.75 miles. We started out to the left of the loop from reading a suggestion that it’s less steep. The first mile is absolutely stunning, looks like something out of a fairy tale! We brought out Golden and she had a blast laying in the streams. Mostly shaded but some sunny spots. We arrived on a Sunday @ 11am and there were still plenty of spots. By the time we got back the lot was full.

Go...

Good spot for our impromptu picnic and walk with our dog. Great that we saw it as we were passing by. The trails are mini loops, some you feel in your legs as you walk uphill, but not long at all and you always hear the traffic from the road. The stream is peaceful, but parents would need to get creative in order for kids to enjoy the low impact park. Maybe learn about sawmill first before you go. Does have indoor flush toilets and sinks with...

Great place to go for a long walk, plan to spend atleast a hour if you want to enjoy all that the park has to offer. Very relaxing and soothing, a ton of learning spots for kids to interact with nature and get familiar with the area. Along the creek they had a book for kids along the trail spaced out so you could read and walk at the same time, the story is in relation to the creek so it's super cute. Over all, perfect place to be engulfed in nature :)

This is a really nice park for hiking in the area. It’s a typical Pennsylvania forest with decent hillsides. This park has many trails to explore with the main ones circling the mountain with a 2 mile loop. Many little foot bridges to cross the streams. Lots of nature, trees, birds, insects. Can’t wait to come back again. Public restroom and parking areas are very accommodating. I even saw an electric vehicle charging station in the lot.
