The initial hike is a steep one, but once you make the ascent you're rewarded with a beautiful view of East Bay and the Stevens Creek Reservoir on the other side. Easy access to Hunters Point view and Coyote Ridge Trail from here. Dog, bike and kid-friendly. Parking here is free and street. Kind of tough if you come during popular times due to lack of space. It seems like people come and go and I got the parking without waiting. The first part is a steep hike up about 0.2 miles. Then continuing to the left you get to the Hunters point.
