Wow! What a charming outdoor theater. A group of us went in June 2025 to see the production of FIDDLER ON THE ROOF. I was first blown away when a golf cart pulled up to our group in the parking lot & the driver asked if we wanted a ride up to the Pavillion. (They offered again after the show.) Once up by the main area , I was impressed with the well manicured grounds. There are plenty of picnic tables to use for people who brought picnic baskets with meals to eat. (There is a concession stand, but i can't comment on it b/c I did not visit it.) The restroom had plenty of stalls & was very clean. The theater is an outdoors theater that has 6 seating areas with 9 rows each that formed a half circle. The stage was so close even though we were in the last row. The sound was clear. Big ceiling fans overhead kept it comfortable on a summer's night. The play itself was fabulous. What a great time we all had. This was my first visit here & I wonder, "What took me so long?" I will be back.

Visited to see Charlie Brown because my sister helped with costume design being a first hand! It was a lovely outdoor theater, which meant good air quality. The students were very skilled and there are also snacks and water available for sale. They're raising money to replace their decades old roof so please contribute if you can!

Great shows on a summer's evening. Saw closing night of the '23 season: "The Prom". Wonderful Broadway musical song/dance play of timely social issue: gay youth. Perfectly acted, sung, and danced!

This theater is a bit of magic nestled into the woodlands on the grounds of Blossom Music Center.

The summertime shows feature both local actors and students actors from Kent State University. Over the years we have seen many talented actors perform at Porthouse, and many if them have gone on to perform on Broadway.

The theater is outdoors and is covered. In case of rain, large curtains are drawn around the back of the theater to keep patrons dry and comfortable. The staff are friendly and work diligently to ensure patrons enjoy the show.

The pavilion area has picnic tables that can be reserved. The highlights of our visit include eating a picnic dinner with a bottle of BYOB wine and buying a souvenir...

I've watched two musicals here this summer. I love this outdoor, covered theater venue! The seating wraps around the front and sides of the stage. We've sat on each of the sides and the view was still great. Picnic area on the theater grounds. Very affordable concessions with a handful of options (candy, chips, ice cream bars, sodas). Clean, indoor restroom facilities. Onsite box office. Show tickets reasonably priced. Productions very professional (cast, crew, set, etc.). Very welcoming, friendly theater community. We found out about this theater through our visits to Kent State which is high on our high school senior's list of colleges he's considering to pursue...
