Train Train Train wreck! We were greeted politely and shown around by a salesperson. She explained that if we were to spend a thousand dollars we would get $150 dollars back. But that money did not go back to us, it went to Ashley to pay for an extra warranty. We also had to pay for delivery. When asked what the material used to make the bed headboard and such, she was not able to tell me and directed me to read something so crazy that it pretty much says anything but plastic materials and ground up wood pulp. None the less, we kept looking and my wife decided that she did not want high quality furniture (dove-tailed solid wood) and she decided to order two bedroom sets. Twelve pieces in all (Then my wife threw in a mattress). I asked the sales lady for a running record of all of the pieces, and she said that would come with the receipt. I asked her what the total cost was for all of the 12 pieces (and the mattress). She gave me a price. I asked her again if that was for everything and she, again told me that it was. She rang everything up and I was able to see the receipt. Hmmmm, two pieces are missing. So now she has to ring up two more pieces which of course will cost us more. So she lied to me about what the total price was and then charged me more for the additional pieces. How very aggravating and unprofessional after I asked her if that was for everything and are you sure!!! Well enough with that. My wife was going to pay with check but was told that would take ten days longer!!! She paid with a debit card instead. My wife told her we wanted the furniture on a certain date and we were told that shouldn't be a problem. Would you believe that the day we expected deliver was not happening. When I called to find out what was going on they told me that all of the furniture was being held up because they were waiting on the mattress to arrive. I angrily asked if they were really holding up my furniture because of a mattress. Thedy told me, yes. I asked for it to be shipped out now and they told me they were over a week out for delivery. Now I am beyond pissed off. I told them to ship it immediately as we were told it was not a problem. They said they would have to see if they could split the order to ship out the first part. They checked and told me they could (WHOOHOO!) They then told me that they could get my bedroom sets to me later than what they first told me! WWHHAATT!!. I got upset at the lady and asked her how that even made sense. She told me to calm down so I hung up on her and made my wife call back and deal with the incompetence. Our bedroom sets finally came!!! The only thing that my wife has decided not to keep was the mirror on the dresser. So, I call Ashley back to tell them I need to return this and they tell me that I can not return it to the store. They tell me someone has to come pick it up and that there is a 25% restocking fee (25% of whatever the cost was of that piece of furniture). I clarified that if returned a thousand dollar dresser they would charge me $250. She told me that is correct! How is this even service. This is robbery! I will never buy from Ashley...
Read moreI will be sharing my experience with Ashley Furniture the company, not just the store location. First, we ordered our bedroom furniture. The rep. said will be about 3 months. We were ok with waiting as long as things worked out well. Two months after putting our order in, we received a bill from âWells Fargo,â who we did our financing through. We inquired Ashley why are we paying for something we had not received yet. Ashley said, âthat is Wells Fargoâs dealings.â I know how financing works. Wells Fargo would not bill us unless Ashley didnât put an inquiry for a sale through. Finally, after spending 4-5 hours on the phone back and forth, Ashley resended the sale and Wells Fargo removed the billing. Then Ashley informed us that they could deliver half of the items now and when the others came in they would bring those. We declined the offer because we did not want to take off work everytime they had a piece of furniture ready for us. Also, once they dropped the first piece off they could bill us immediately. After, waiting 6 months, we received a text stating our items were all ready and to schedule to have delivered. We called and scheduled. The day before scheduled date, we received a text message saying âwe cannot deliver all items because they were not all available.â I called Ashley immediately. One of their workers told me that they had someone purchase a piece of furniture from our style we picked and because they only got a couple pieces they would get them before us and thatâs why our items were no longer available. This was very disappointing. We had been waiting 6 months then told everything was in, then told they gave out stuff away. Finally, I called Ashley to talk to a supervisor about the problem. After about 3-4 hours on phone back and fourth, I was told a supervisor would call me back. I never got a call back from a supervisor. I did get a call from a rep the next day saying they had all my stuff ready to deliver. I was baffled! One day they didnât have it, now next day they have it. However, the day I scheduled to be off work they could t deliver it. They delivered it the day after I was initially scheduled. This was very difficult and the dishonesty caused a lot of distrust. The only reason Ashley gets three stars is because all the furniture was in excellent shape and correct when delivered. I did have a disagreement with the delivery people because i asked if I could check all the furniture out before they leave because the store told me once they leave I was liable for all items. The delivery driver said if I had problems Ashley would take care of it even after they left. Because of distrust, I made sure to check everything out. The only way this review will be given more stars is if Ashley compensates me for a dayâs time spent on the phone and a day missed of work for scheduling issues. Iâll let the extra 3...
Read moreWouldâve given 0 stars after the service I received. Went into the store on 2/29/24 to purchase a small area rug but the size I wanted was not available at my local store. They searched inventory and saw that there was one near at the Spanish Fort, AL store. A call was given and in the end the AL associate stated they would call my local store back after double checking inventory. So I hung around the store for 30 minutes but a callback was never received; I left and told them to call me the next day when they hear something. Didnât get a callback so I stopped by the store a 2nd day and ended up having to order the rug online and would be available for pick up the following week. So 5 days later, I received a text saying my rug was ready for pick up as well as a phone call asking when would I be able to pick up the rug. During the midst of this, the local associate texted and told me the rug was unavailable and a refund will be offered. I told him I received 2 confirmations that it was ready to be picked up, and I stopped by the store after work. I was basically told the rug had the wrong SKU number on it and the 2 people I spoke to was not aware of this; taking 5 days to catch this error and at time of pick up. I asked to speak to the manager because this was unacceptable and I wasted 3 days of time going in the store for nothing. The manager assured me she would call me the next day after calling the AL store. Letâs just say I never heard back from her and this is now Day-6. I felt blown off and felt she said whatever she needed to get me to leave the store; wasnât loud or rude and she had no answers. So after this experience, I will not buy another item from Ashley again. Unprofessional as a manager and did nothing to make it right especially after all the time I had to go to the store to make sure my rug was in stock and ordered but...
