Hint Hunter Escape (Puzzle) Rooms — Attraction in D'Iberville

We booked the Stormbreaker game which was a pirate theme. During our time in the escape room, we were in a mine theme. We were confused about the booking and just continue the game anyways since we were already playing it. After we finished our game, I showed the host that my booking was suppose to be Stormbreaker. She looked on her phone, ignored us, and just went inside the Mine game and start setting the stuff back up without saying a word to us. We waited until she was done putting all the stuff back together. I asked her again, was the Stormbreaker game closed down or something because we did not do the game we booked. She said she mixed our booking with someone else. Then made an excuse that the Stormbreaker game would’ve been too hard for us. She also stated we wouldn’t have fun with the Stormbreaker game. So instead of apologizing and giving us a discount or a refund, she just made excuses. Unprofessional. The games were fun. But wish the host handled it differently.

I am updating my review to reflect the owner’s response to prior issues. We decided to try one of the rooms at this location while passing through the area, but we did not have a great experience interacting with the staff at this location (felt rushed, unclear with things and we felt out of place). We did, however, enjoy the room and felt the puzzles and game play were great. After speaking with the owner, it was obvious that she cared about the customer’s experience and wanted to address any concerns. While we likely will not be able to return to the area for a while, we hope to eventually be able to return to try another room. Our feedback was addressed almost immediately. Given the numerous positive reviews, we hope we just caught them on an off day, but, regardless, we did still enjoy the actual game and feel confident that, were issues to arise in the future, they would be handled immediately. We were on Vacation and wanted to do a local escape room. We found Hint Hunter and called them to book a room. We have played a lot of rooms and wanted their best room. After talking with Aryika, we decided upon a room, unfortunately our food took a while to get to us at the restaurant we were at so we called back and they changed us to a room called Wasted While. It was a room themed down in a min shaft where you were trying to secure the Deed and secure Dudley’s land claim. After we filled out our waivers Aryika came out in costume and presented the room in character, that was great. We went in the room and I was blown away by the detail of the room. They did a great job of turning the room into a mine. We will definitely be back to try another room next time we...
