Absolutely one of the best locations to get gold paydirt. Doesn't matter if you get the 15 to 1, 30 to 1, 75 to 1 or the nugget bucket. They are all very enjoyable. I only buy from a couple sellers of paydirt. These guys are at the very top when it comes to what they sell. I have never had a bag that didnt have a decent amount of gold, and have always been happy with what I receive. I have found nuggets of over two grams, pickers and more pickers and of course nice size flakes. When it comes to flour gold, there isnt any. Its all great size gold to be panned. I have not calculated the ROI of any gold buckets I have bought over the past 3 years. Most people worry about the ROI and I usually do too. The difference and why I dont calculate the return with The Crisson is because this material is some of the funnest, and most enjoyable material to pan. This particular mine runs a hard rock operation. They use a stamp mill to crush the ore. Crushing ore makes for a really enjoyable relaxing panning experience. It is perfect for the beginner and intermediate person that has caught the gold bug. I have not been to their mine since I live across the country. I full heartedly believe that if I was within 100 miles I would spend every Saturday their panning for gold. I want to give a shout out to Tammy. Her and her husband run the operation. I have talked to Tammy many times over the phone and through email. She is very kind and always willing to help, and one of the most understanding mine owners I have ever had the pleasure of talking too. Never have talked to her husband, but maybe someday. These guys are some of the most honest business owners I have had the pleasure of dealing with. I will continue to buy from them for as long as I can, or for as long as they are open. When I have to stop buying from the Crisson Mine that will be when it is time to get rid of my pan as well. I urge anyone that is thinking about making the trip to the mine, or thinking about ordering paydirt. Do it, you won't regret the experience. I would suggest either the 30 to 1, or 75 to 1 bucket. If you can swing it to treat yourself, the nugget buckets are where it is at. Sometimes I will mix a nugget bucket with either a 30 to 1 or 75 to 1 bag to prolong the panning. Hope you enjoy the material, and the people who run the operation as...
Read moreExpensive tourist experience that left missed feelings. I heard about this and watched multiple YouTube videos where content providers received gifts that yielded nuggets and pretty good hauls. The lingering question from all was, is the pay dirt seeded. My thoughts, absolutely. Here’s my review of our $349.37 experience: walking in the door you will be met with friendly customer service I purchased the 75:1 passport at $195 and was told to select the 30:1 paydirt that’s clearly marked $110. After picking it up and noticing the different written on the bottle, I asked is this correct and was told yes by the same friendly women. This started my experience off in question as I was absolutely charged for the highest paydirt, but given the middle value. my mistake was I said I didn’t need a receipt because they use a digital cash register. I then purchased the gemstones package for us. They charge a $15 admission fee per person which provided what’s needed for the experience. We were given 5 small vials to collect the gold that was panned. We only needed 1, since the actual amount mined was very little in the form of flakes. The customer service throughout the process is good and it was a fun experience for my kids, however, as an adult I feel uneasy about the experience. if this is a gem mine, how did all the rocks get “crushed” down to ratios, but the gems remain intact? Make me feel like they are mixed in to the gem stone paydirt.
In the end, my experience was positive from a facility and customer service experience. The grounds are nice and the gift shop is cool. The panning practice was fun, however the feeling I have is the gold flakes we found were significantly less than any amount I saw from anyone else’s review, along with the gem stone observations, makes this experience appear very well coordinated.
Go to enjoy the experience not to find gold. If you goal is to get gold, just buy it from the gift shop at a significantly reduced price. I could have purchased 30 bottles of gold flakes from the gift shop and saved 50% of my money while walking away with 99% more gold.
I guess my uneasy feeling is because this is advertised as a genuine search but just doesn’t feel that way to me. I could be wrong and encourage you to form your own opinion so I give it a middle Of the...
Read moreEdit to reply to owner: If there is another package, then why not explain that to customers at your business or have some kind of signage. She told us all that was available was a $30, $60, and $100 bucket to do even after my husband said he would sit in the car. If we were offered a $14.95 admission we would have done that but again, bad business practice. And this is nothing comparable to a six flags. I, too, do not ride rides but still pay to enjoy time with my family at an establishment like that. They have many things to offer. This place was not worth the extra $30 we were told just to see equipment outside. I totally understand admission is required to help your establishment run. But when we were told $60 in total that's a complete rip off. And again, if we were offered the $14.95 admission we would of gladly of done that for our family.
My daughter got a good selection of rocks, especially compared to other places we have been. But I was disappointed in this place. We only wanted to get one $30 bucket. Only my daughter wanted to do it. And we don't need a ton of rocks. The lady working said we had to get the $60 bucket to be able to all go as a family. Even tho only my daughter was doing it. So my husband just waited in the car. Once back there, there was really nothing special that they would need to charge admission for just to watch a kid gem mine. There were some signs up with some information and some different mining equipment, but that's it. Seems like a scam to make more money to me, which is not good...
