Great overlooked into the valley. Highly recommend going on a clear day. The hike is super short with minimum elevation gain until about halfway through. After that it’s a steady ascension u til you reach the overlook. It’s a gorgeous view. Parking is limited. Maybe 15-20 spots which fill up rather quickly, due to its close proximity to the UNG Dahlonega Campus. The trail is marked well. It does continue past the overlook on the AT. This was a lovely easy hike from Woody Gap! It was very foggy on the way up and it's definitely a "way up" on the 2nd half of the mile. There is plenty of parking and a bathroom on site. The trail continues past preachers rock and they had a few different areas with fire pits too! Lots of space at the overlook but also LOTS of carpenter bees right now at the top and on the way up.
