If I could give them a 0 I would. We drove an hour to go here and before we even got to the door the owner came out to tell us our dog was not allowed there. I proceeded to pull out the Legal Service Dog documentation I have and he didn’t even look at it he “shewed” my phone away and said “ yeah people can just go online and buy those”. At that point I asked him what do I need to then show you to prove that he is a service dog. He told me he was “trained” on how to suspect a fake service dog and he went and got the paper; the paper wasn’t even a legal document or anything just something typed up and printed. I find it ironic how someone can “suspect” a fake service dog without being the person to train them, I spent SO much money making the family dog a service animal and have never been treated with such disgust. . He told me the dog was tugging on the leash and he was not with the handler, which is my dad in which he was standing right next to me. He then proceeded to ask me what exactly the dog does, so I told him which is illegal to ask what the specific task is of a service dog which I was taught while taking my dog through training. I’m not sure if it was the owner I was talking to but he was so rude and nasty to me. Looking back at other people’s reviews, I was never even told that we could sit outside with the dog, he just wanted us gone. Refusing to serve a service dog is illegal and I will be looking to take action against this place due to the way I was treated.… so sad because we drove so far and we’re really looking forward to it.
As an establishment, you guys need...
Read moreI visited The Cottage Winery this weekend with a friend and had such a poor experience. It was very busy inside but after waiting a while we got a tasting spot at the bar and the owner was the one serving us. It started out well, and then she opened up several bottles of Chardonnay that had spoiled and was clearly getting flustered. I’m not sure if she was embarrassed but she refused to serve or acknowledge us after this and we practically had to beg for our next pours from various other staff who were all paying attention to other customers except us. We were not being rude, and were very patient and polite. There was absolutely no organization among the staff and it seemed to be taking a while for them to check out people’s tabs. After not even receiving all of the tastings we were assigned we decided to pay our tab and leave. After 15 min of standing there with my card we got no eye contact and everyone else was being served instead of us. We were in shock. We ended up just walking out. Not sure if it was personal, or they were flustered because of a crowd, but they completely lacked decency and customer service. In the end we didn’t enjoy the wine compared to the other wineries nearby, so between that fact and this situation I will never be back. I live local and could have been converted into a future customer had the service been atleast mediocre. It left us pondering the situation the whole weekend. After we went to CeNita and Yonah Mountain and had much better wine...

One thing I need to call out from my last visit. We ordered a small charcuterie board to enjoy with out drinks. Last year (middle of Covid) we ordered it came nicely displayed on a wooden board. It was perfect! I was very disappointed in the presentation this year. It was served to us in a plastic to go box with cheese and meats wrapped in plastic. We asked the waiter what happened to the nice packaging and he explained their vendor was unable to get the boards and they did not have a kitchen to prepare them on site. I used the plastic knife provided to cut the blocks of cheese to share with my group. Disappointing and somewhat embarrassing after making such a big deal about it to my group. Even had to pull the pictures from last year to show them it was not what we were expecting.
Please do not lower your standards by providing a subpar product to your customers. Everything else is great and if your vendor is not able to provide the quality you need then find a new vendor or do not sell the product just to make a sale. Had you said, sorry.. we are sold out or sorry we don't have this available then that would have been the end of it and you would have had another 5 star review praising your establishment for great service, great wines and...
