Yahoola Creek Park — Attraction in Dahlonega

This place is awesome, you have plenty of hiking trails, they lead to an over look above the park and has a gazebo and picnic tables at the top. Plenty of play ground space, one play ground has a gazebo with bathrooms, and the play area is enclosed. It's by the creek. The other play ground is special needs based, swings for children with disabilities can swing there, and a 'parent and me' swing so you can face your infant as you swing, there are bathrooms on that side as well but no gazebo. We have rented out the play ground gazebo for birthdays. The kids and adults love playing in the creek and exploring. Plenty of fields for tennis, soccer and baseball, football. There is a special garden area with information about the plants, and a viewing pond to see turtles and fish. There is also an old farm house still on the property from when it was a farm. We have found old pottery pieces in the creek. I absolutely love this park, you won't be bored and neither...

One of Dahlonega's and Lumpkin County's greatest treasures, Yahoola Creek Park offers something for nearly everyone.

Got kids? Bring them to play in the creek, at the splash pad, on the playground, or on of the numerous athletic fields. Many of the local sports leagues practice here.

Like Nature? There are a couple miles of hiking trails, places to bird, garden areas, and great opportunities for birders (diverse habitat with ample forage). You can also fish in the creek, or simply sit on one of the many benches and soak it all in.

It's a wonderful recreation experience. There's plenty of trails and lots of parking. There's a beautiful Creek that runs through the park. It's lovely to see children swimming and shallow creeks and having a wonderful time. I just love this place. It's very relaxing and enjoyable. I do believe they could do with a little more trash receptacles however. There's a playground with playground equipment. There's restrooms although at times they need to be cleaned...
