Found this place the other day and absolutely loved it! What a hidden gem in Dallas! The trails were very well kept up with and there were lots of them. The scenery was very beautiful. Lots of spots to fish. We didn’t do all of the trails just yet, so that we had something new to explore for next time. Love that the trails and area are easily marked. They have fishing line recyclers and the whole place is supposedly kept up by volunteers, well they obviously do a great job! Only downside was there was some pretty nasty trash in the water, but when it floods there’s not much that can be done to prevent that unfortunately. Other than that it’s an awesome place to check out! Can’t wait to go back.

Frasier Dam is a hidden gem in Northwest Dallas. Visited in winter and although the forrest trees were dormant, the trails surprisingly provided a tranquil escape from the city. The sound of the water rippling across the lakes provide an additional respite. Hiking level is relatively flat and the trails are easy to traverse. Looking forward to visiting when the trees green up.

Gravel bike single track just off the Trinity Levees. Very easy bike trail in the woods. It just opened, so not much hiker traffic yet. But, if you're looking for Ian's Gnar, you won't find it here.

There is a feeling of going through the looking glass when entering this park off a short curving on ramp to IH 35. Drivers behind you expect to accelerate, and instead you slow quickly to take a sharp right off the on ramp to enter the park. But what a magical surprise to find this most unusual and unique of all urban forest parks in Dallas. Well marked wide trails guide you through a forested loop of more than 3 miles past numerous picnic tables and benches dotted with wild hibiscus and river scenes and big red hawks and mourning doves flying between the trees. The effort to create this park and reclaim this land from what was an awful dumping site is a remarkable achievment performed by individuals dedicated to a particular vision that promotes the urban forest and again illustrates the magic and wonder of what exits around the mighty Trinity. Now, hold your breath and hit the gas as you make your exit and go back through the...

Sorry about your experience on the South Trail. It is posted on the Main Kiosk that the raised tread surface on the South Trail is out due to erosion which is why the trail was not groomed. However, all the other trails are in great shape, and the North Trail raised tread surface is now completed. The South Trail raised tread surface will be installed within the next couple of weeks along with...
