Ridgewood Park — Attraction in Dallas

We really love this park, especially the sprayground in the summer. I do wish the ground in the dry park area was not those wood chips and had shade cover so kids could go back and forth between parks. The slides get too hot and burn bottoms in swimsuits and you can't go barefoot on the mulch. Also, some sort of bathroom or changing facility could be nice too. Just some observations from me and the other parents at the park. It's a great neighborhood park and we get to see the dinosaurs there and back...

Splash pad wasn't open. Even though it listed the hours. Inside we could only play basketball (which we all suck at.) I wouldn't waste time going here unless it's on the weekend which they don't specify online. Not worth it either way to me. I'd rather drive farther and our almost 5 year old actually be able to use the bathing suite she insisted on wearing to the "splash pad." GREAT park except for the people who still insist on letting their (LARGE, always...) dogs run around without a leash. FYI,, the DOG PARK is on Mockingbird Lane and it's a place to let your dogs run around without any control. Please don't let them run around playgrounds with kids!
