BoonDocks — Attraction in Danbury Township

A few friends got together to attend the Harbor Bash on 9/7/24. We stopped to pay at the gate and we were met by a highly intoxicated worker. We both had babies (roughly 6 months) and they made us pay the $20 cover charge for both of them……… the drunk employee stated it’s a liability to bring in babies so they have to charge. I pointed to two large pit pulls and asked if there was a charge for dogs and she stated no. My 6 month old sleeping baby is a “liability” but a big dog is not. Another worker putting wristbands on the attendees asked where the 3rd person was and I said him and she said “there’s no charge for babies” and I said the other lady said otherwise and they began bickering at each other.

We will not be attending ever again and we told as many people as we can. I will continue to put this review to anything associated with this Habor Bash out of disgust. My baby is not listening to the band or paying the high prices at the food trucks, why in the absolute hell are we charged $20 for a baby cover charge?...

Boondocks is such a great place. The laid back atmosphere located on the docks of West Harbor has a lot to offer. In the summer, they have live music daily. On weekends, they have food trucks and live music. There pizza is really tasty and the bar has all kinds of options for everyone. Throughout the summer they run happy hour specials which can be found on their Facebook page. They are also kid and dog friendly! Recently, Boondocks had there Harbor Bash. What a great time! They set up a huge stage and bring in great entertainment and it is only $20 for the day. Plus, it is BYOB! They also had food trucks. We had all our friends there and it was such a blast. The owners do an amazing job organizing and making sure everyone is enjoying themselves. They let guests bring in coolers, chairs, and even golf carts. Boondocks isn't just a bar. It is part of West Harbor Marina which is a family owned business that also has 4 super nice, waterfront, condos that can be rented. Beyond the great facilities the owners Bill and Bree are great people. They are fun, friendly, super hard working, down to earth people who are just great to be around. The marina is surrounded by a community of manufacturered homes that sit along canals with boat access out to Lake Erie.
