I purchased a quarter of beef from Bryant beef in the summer 2022. It was very lean cuts, and great tasting meat. I was happy to be able to purchase from a local farm and mostly because my grandparents used to have a dairy and beef farm two and a half miles from them. This is where I spent most of my childhood. In July 2023 I purchased another quarter of beef from them. Not at all lean. Walmart beef doesn't have this much fat. I have had to remove approximately one third fat from each steak and roast before cooking. I was very disappointed with this, but figured it was a new processor, and I would bring it up when I made my next order. In September, I noticed a large roast ($34.98) in my freezer had lost its vacuum, or wasn't properly sealed in the first place. My wife went through the remaining meat, and found a pack of New York Strip steaks ($30.08) that had lost the seal also, but didn't appear to be frost on it. So, I decided to grill them the next day. I took one bite and realized it was no good as well due to losing its vacuum. I called about the issue of the meat losing the seal and getting frost bit. They will not due anything about it. They said if it would have been within 30 days, they "might" have been able to do something. I won't be making any more purchases from them in the future! No customer appreciation for returning customers. And I've read other reviews about the excessive fat having to be trimmed off, and the packaging losing it's seal.
As a follow up to Bryant Beef's reply. Show me where I signed anything on the day I picked up, and I'll remove all reviews and apolgize. Also, maybe it's the way your employees threw the packages into the boxes that may have caused the seals to break? I'll even help you with finding the supposed paper I signed. I picked my order up at 2:00PM on Saturday July 19, 2023. Fell free to call me if you want to discuss this, as my name and phone number is on the order sheet, no pick up sheet. I think this will help people reading these reviews make a better decision to purchase elsewhere. Don't blame the customers for your...
Read moreAlex at Bryant Beef was great from the start. He patiently answered all of my questions about pasture and variety of pigs he raised, and he was genuinely excited to talk about the services provided by Bryant Beef. He worked with us on pick-up times due to work schedules and business hours (they do have delivery options, be we live close and chose to pick up). He was concerned that we let him know how we liked the pork when we started eating it and that we were satisfied with the quality of the meat.
The meat! I was very happy with the amount of meat(1/2 pig, just over 100lbs), and the way it was packaged from the processor. I did choose to have the bacon cured for me, great choice btw! Just looking at the meat, I was excited! It looked marbled, but not excessively fatty. When I cooked the pork chops, I didn’t marinate them the first time. I wanted to taste the meat, not the seasoning and I have to say the flavor, texture, and juiciness were outstanding. There weren’t a lot of greasy drippings. I wish I had the right words, it was the best flavored pork chop I had ever eaten, outside of different seasonings and grilling techniques. The flavor of the meat itself just blew me away. I have tried the ham steaks, the butt roast, bacon, sausage, and pork chops so far. I have been extremely happy with all of them! They aren’t as greasy as the stuff I’ve gotten in the grocery store, and the meat is definitely way fresher! I’d give this guy 10 stars if I could and I will definitely be buying more meat from them as soon as I start...
Read moreTired of the so called meat products from grocery store that just doesn't taste right or goes bad a day after purchase. I have tried every butcher shop within 120 miles. Found Bryant Beef and thought I would give them a fair shot. I purchased several different cuts, steaks, groundbeef, ham, bacon, ribs, roast, cube steaks.Wanted to give fair review of product. True test for me is simple seasoning salt and pepper. Steaks are perfect thickness about 1 1/2 inches thick beautiful color and marbling so tender and juicy. Ground beef wonderful flavor doesn't disintegrate to a mini burger when cooking. Ribs so nice that they remove membrane before sealed so flavorful Ham steaks were really good. All meats sealed in thick gauge plastic so no tearing in freezer which I love no freezer burn from torn butcher paper. I have found my source for hands down best meat I can buy. If you want fantastic quality meats Bryant is your place. Staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and super helpful to get you the best choices for your needs. I will be buying all my meat from them for now on. Can't say enough good about this place. Side note they also have amazing dog treats, spice mixes, and flavorful butters. Thank you Bryant Beef for the amazing care and quality you put into your meats. See you soon for my...
