We visited here while on vacation. It is a very large park. They have a nice pond with a path around it. There is also a covered bridge over the inlet to the pond. There is a recirculating pump that makes a spectacular fountain attraction at the far end. They have coin operated gumball machines retrofitted to give out feed for the many varieties of ducks around the pond. There are several baseball fields, a picnic area, swings, a skate park and a large back part of the park that is open fields with pathways and a gazebo to wander through. We only had a few hours to enjoy, but plan to make this a regular stop when visiting family in the area. I have posted some photos and a video of the fountain in the pond. If you are in the area, stop by and give it a try. If you enjoy the out of doors, you will have a blast here. I know we did.
2024: We walked the outer perimeter of the park today, but it rained after about 2/3rds of the walk and we made a quick dash back...
Read moreSomeone needs to do more to keep the paths around the pond and duck areas clean and free of bird feces...very unhealthy. There is also a need for more playgrounds for children to play on...if there are people having private parties in the pavilions/playground areas then you have nowhere to play with your kids. Maybe make playground areas that cant be rented for parties? The restrooms are always filthy and they need more of them also...having toddlers or small children, its hard for them to make it to the bathroom on time at times here because they are too far apart. There should also be more than one food dispenser for the ducks & the water on the right side of the bridge needs to be cleaned up...it looks and smells very unsanitary. We love the park itself, its a great place to take your family or just to go walk and enjoy nature but it could be kept better...
Read moreMillenium park is a great place to go for just about anything. Whether it is to host a Birthday party during the spring & summer months (they have several nice, covered pavilions, with picnic tables); to watch or play sports; take the kids and/or dog for a walk (on one of their long walking trails) or to play on one of several playground areas. They have baseball and soccer fields, a basketball court and even a small skate park. There are a few areas with indoor restrooms. There is a huge pond/small lake with ducks, along with vending machines where you can buy food to feed the ducks. Also..lots and lots of parking space. (*My daughter & I love to come here in the summertime, lay a blanket in the grass, and just watch a movie on her iPad.) I highly recommend visiting this park if you are in, or just passing through, the...
