The McCarl Industrial and Agricultural Museum of Beaver County is a wonderful stop for family and friends to relish in the nostalgia of the halcyon days of industry in the Beaver area. In this museum you'll find many artifacts from the titans of industry of yesteryear, many of which contribute to the greater Pittsburgh area's reputation as the industrial powerhouse it once was. I first visited this museum during the Ridings Family Holiday Train Display, which was a lovely experience for people of all ages to come and enjoy a bird's eye view of the marvel that is the locomotive. The display had a variety of different iconic businesses and locations from the greater Pittsburgh area, paying homage to many of the icons from the area we look back on, such as Heinz, Kennywood, and Fred Rogers. There were toys set out for small children to play with, and cookies for all guests. The staff were welcoming and nice, ready to have a small chat or shed light on some of the historical displays. I believe it was $1 to get in, but you should be sure to donate as well, if you can. Overall, this was a great location to bring your kids to marvel at some displays, or for the curious mind to learn a bit more about the shared heritage that the locals of Beaver County enjoy. Be sure to stop by!

Very informative tour guides. But, it is very lengthy and do not seem interested in your knowledge on the subjects. I think they can do a better job.

Excellent place to learn about the fascinating history of Beaver County PA. Steel mills, glass factories, mining, railway, steam engines, nuclear power (first commercial in the world) and the most knowledgeable of folks to tell you thier stories. There's a log cabin, blacksmith shop and Greensburg academy where some very notable Americans were educated. Also learn of the underground railroad, area dwellings of abolitionist and how they helped escaped slaves to their freedom. You won't be...
