The Slocum's River Reserve is a treasure. I went early on a November morning just after the first hard frost of the year and the frost on the plants, leaves and trees was almost magical. I walked almost every one of the trails in an hour and a half and with a few exceptions most of the trails are flat and have few rocks or roots to trip you so they are easy to walk.
