Thank you for your response to my review. As a result I have revised it. It’s wonderful to have Kings Farm. I had originally giving it fewer stars because of the history I was aware of. Years back, the Kings Farm land did not seem like it was being farmed. The person who owns the honor system stand & CSA next-door to the white tent In the same parking lot called BRIX Bounty put that address on the map. The farmer and owner of BRIX Bounty approached The Kings Farm which had a lot of land and asked if he could rent out some land and farm it. And he brought people, food and life to this area. When Kings farm first opened their tented stand, the older woman owner of the property told me that they would never compete with BRIX or sell the same things that he sells at his farm stand right next door and would only sell complementary items. She also told me that renting the land to the BRIX owner was the best decision they ever made. The last time I was there, the tented area was selling romaine lettuce and tomatoes which BRIX Bounty was also selling. I was surprised to see king Farm Tented area selling some of the same things given what I had been told and the history I was aware of. If you go there, buy stuff from the honor system farm stand BRIX Bounty first which is farmed right there and whatever they don’t have at BRIX buy at The tented Kings Farm. BTW I do not know the owner of BRIX but feel grateful that he is farming that land and has brought this wonderful farm stand to our area. King Farm does not farm their own produce but brings things in from other places. I feel grateful that the BRIX Bounty farmer made this all possible and helped create this wonderful little community local food stand. It is so nice to see the steady stream of people coming here to buy farm...
Read moreI discovered this bread called babka at this place and my partner can’t stop talking about it. It was fantastic! Very nice ppl work here too…I used Apple Pay to cash out and didn’t realize my card had declined until I was a few miles away. So I went back to pay and the woman at the register tried to tell me not to worry about it! Haha she was so sweet but I insisted. It’s important to support small local businesses. The prices may be a bit higher than big chain stores, but putting money into the pockets of your community is much more valuable than giving it to the big corporations that drive them out out…..and besides, you just might discover something magical...
Read moreFrom the first day it opens in Spring to the last day in Fall, I am there. A lovely setting with a spread of local food that makes me so very grateful to be here. Bakery, local meat and chicken and lamb frozen, local farm produce, local cultivated mushrooms (terrific), local honey and jam and in the summer CORN, and tomatoes and peaches. The family members who run it are wonderful, knowledgeable and add to the experience of being there. What a gift. Worth a drive, and it is next to a partner farm stand so the offerings...
