Putah Creek Riparian Reserve — Attraction in Davis

This nature preserve houses hiking trails along the creek (with private property on the other side) and appears to be maintained by the local university. There’s all types of native plants around, and fish (there's salmon breeding grounds), turtles, and much more thrive in the creek (unfortunately there’s an invasive New Zealand Mudsnail infestation). Very nice place to have a stroll. There are different paths that run parallel to the stream/creek. Very shady and nice. There are portions to have a bath if you want but the water is mostly stand and doesn't look very attractive. There are some picnic tables and parking lots (not too big though)...

Excellent place for a walk, run, picnic, or just stopping and enjoying the wildlife around you. Paths are well maintained and do a great job of meandering through the reserve. Parking is free, and sufficiently clean port-o-potties are available at the main...
