The park is very nice, in regards to the activities and the accommodations that are offered. At first impression it is well maintained and does offer a pleasant atmosphere. The problem we had was paying a hefty rental price under the grand pavilion to only be disappointed by the atmosphere around us. Other rental areas had large groups of people that thought the park rules did not have to apply to them. No Smoking, and No dogs were two of the park rules that were not being managed by the young adults staff members in the park. The Loud music being played around us by different groups was not only annoying but silly because no one could talk to each other and hear their own tunes well enough, due to the echo that was created. I didn't appreciate that it also felt like a racial thing. We had our rental space but the group next to us disrespected us by covering up one of our tables with their items. It was like they didn't even see us there. We stayed cool, and decided we had an opportunity to move one direction ourself, just to keep the peace. It wasn't worth it us to disturb our family party. The lack of enforcing rules at this facility disappointed us. For the price you pay, I guess there will be good and bad comments...

UPDATE 1 star. Prices here SKYROCKETED. Now there are individual charges for each amenity and nothing is provided for any of the activities. Parking itself with nothing included is now $20.00. Then unfortunately, you only get access to the beach. $3.00 per person for anything additional and all refreshments have significantly higher costs than the store. I recommend going elsewhere like to Blue bell in Genesee- where everything is free of charge. Great place to swim but too expensive for being in the center of town close to shops.

Tip: Lake Callis should lower their costs before deep summer or it might possibly cause other families to also go elsewhere.

Previous review: Fun for whole family. Everyone was friendly. Cheap parking! Splash pad is OPEN. Tons of outdoor activities. There's even an outdoor shower to wash the sand off. Best thing is that there wasn't too many people. They even sell small concessions. Check out, def worth it, and for my family of 4 it was less than $25....

If I could give zero I would!! Absolutely the rudest staff ever, I was There exactly ONE hour and was asked to leave since I hit Vape which mind you all you can smell is weed!! So might wanna check the people smoking pot & not the single mom trying to enjoy the day with her kids!! So I went to find someone higher up and ask for my money back since I had Only been there exactly an hour , I checked My location and it says the time I’ve been there!! But KIM said they don’t do refunds and wasn’t going to argue with me lmao , never once had an attitude or anything with her . Honestly I wouldn’t care if I paid 2 dollars to get in , the principal is I was There barely an hour and asked to leave so yes I wanted my money back. And not to mention how MUCH seaweed this lake has is insane!! No wonder someone drowned here, no upkeep on the lake at all!! So worried about vaping smh maybe be worried about kids drowning from lack of upkeep on seaweed!! Needless to say I’ll never recommend this place to anyone , do better!! ...

With everything going on in the world it’s been crazy. Lake Callis has been so amazing to bring my kids. I absolutely love how everything is set up makes for a nice relaxing time. I love how at the park (as seen below) there is a swing there so my son can swing with my daughter, this has been absolutely amazing. I would change a couple of things like maybe putting an area to sit by the park so parents can watch their kids. Also I would add a sidewalk going all the way to the beach. I see a lot of people with wagons and trying to drag them through the grass then the sand. Another thing there’s tons of weeds on the boarder of the grass and sand that hurt a lot. Thank you so much Lake Callis for making such a lovely area to hangout with my kiddos!

FUN FOR ALL AGES 😁😁 I wish we had a nice place like this in Ohio where I live. Reasonably priced ( $10 to get in if your not a resident and $3 per person for the splash pad area) , lots to do. You have the splash pad, the lake, the playground area and pavilions for parties. Grills for cooking. This is a nice place to have children's birthday parties maybe even a family reunion, lol. I suggest banning smoking only because grown adults threw their cigarettes on the ground where children are running around barefoot. They don't wanna act responsibly then don't allow. The staff I came across were all very nice. Thank you!!

Great beach. Discounts on parking and splash pad admission if your a Davison resident. Water is nice and refreshing, beach sand nice and clean. Super close to grocery stores, gas stations and recreational parks. The splash pad is a must even if your a adult. Cools you right off on a hot day. We come here all the time every summer and nothing has ever made us not go. Highly recommend for a beach/bbq day with families.
