I love this park, I also enjoy walking the bike path to Downtown Riverscape. It is 4 miles 1 way. This park can be crowded at times but there is always a place to venture off to. Take kids to park, fish, walk run, bike or get out on the water. There is 2 locations 1 is the lake side and the other is park. The park has 2 entrances. The entrance on Springfield st. Is a much smaller parking lot, usually no parking available when its crowded go to other entrance...

There is a surprising amount of wildlife considering the number of people that visit the park. Turtles and great blue herons can be found here although they are easy to scare away. You can also find warbles here as well as many other types of...

Check the weapon law here and carry whatever you can. Weird how aggressive unmuzzled pet dogs on 12+ft long flexi leads (illegal) are allowed but a service dog, under control, assisting a disabled hiker, gets yelled at by police to be leashed. Read the ADA. Place is not service dog friendly or compliant thanks to the poorly informed police dept the city hires to patrol there. Sorry I don't wear a giant sign saying...

It’s a great place to take a relaxing walk and enjoy the beautiful fall foliage. This entrance makes it easy to access the river and wide grass fields, offering peaceful scenery and plenty of open space. It’s an excellent spot for enjoying nature, taking photos, or just spending some quiet time outdoors.
