Gathering Point Church — Attraction in Dayton

Update: Nothing has changed. No remorse. No apologies. No accepting responsibility for their horrid actions. Same unchristian leadership in place. Stay far away

Previous: Used to work there. Went to visit one day earlier this year, found the doors open and no one in the building. Walked through looking for anyone, no one. Stopped and waved goodbye to the security camera, gave them a thumbs up and left. 3 days later the police in my hometown showed up at my house to tell me if I ever set foot on the property again they would have me arrested. Called the Pastor to ask about if he knew anything, and he said yes, he was the one who had called. He didn't like me visiting, and he remembered me visiting one time years earlier and actually leaving a message for someone. Do with that what you will, but there is nothing representing Christianity coming from this place.

Months later. They still are led by the same unchristian leadership. Run far away...

This past Easter our lead pastor Ryan VanMatre preached on Jesus's resurrection and what it means for Christians to be resurrected in Christ. It was a powerful sermon that touched many. All the teams that are part of this church move mightily in the lives of the congregation. From the pastoral staff to the worship crew to the women's ministries, men's ministries all the way to the youth ministries...the guidance and love that is shown toward each other in walking the path that leads to life is evident from the time you engage. GPC is a great place to grow in the Christian faith and participate in the community and world by helping others in the name of Jesus. This is a place where prayer happens and amazing things result. I appreciate Pastor Ryan's insight and his clearly teaching the Word of God. Pastor Eric and Pastor Caleb are also gifted teachers and great encouragers. The clear focus on missions helps many people both locally and far away. Pastor Abram is an extremely talented and humble leader in the worship arts ministry. I always leave the worship service inspired. GPC has given me opportunities to help others and enter into some wonderful friendships. It's a great place to learn about Jesus. I...
