This was a surprise for me. We rode our Harley there during the Sturgis Rally. Be careful which road you go up. Both roads become gravel before you reach the parking area. But we went up one that is not County Maintained and it took a skilled rider to manage it. Once parked you will have a one mile hike UP to the monument. The monument itself is a narrow spiral staircase and the steps are steep and not quite even in height.
