Trees on Tees started off as a great event. The last few years has been increasingly getting more and more crowded. 2024 had a date get cancelled due to weather and it pushed everyone from that day over to the last day. Which happens to be the day we paid for. The line was all the way out to the entrance of the parking lot. We waited in line for over 2 hours with 2 babies.. absolutely ridiculous instead of adding an additional date on to accommodate the ticket holders from the canceled date or simply refunding. I did end up getting a refund for the two tickets that weren't used but with some resistance before they agreed to.

Thank You Decatur Park District for putting on "Trees On Tees" every year! It is a wonderful community event for people of all ages to enjoy! This event is professionally organized from the parking, checking in, golf cart ride, Santa's house, hot chocolate stand, and so much more! The holiday dancers were fabulous! Thank you to the business sponsors and volunteers for making this an enjoyable event for all!

We enjoyed the park and the Pavillion. It was a warm windy day perfect to be outside. There was a lot of bees and flies due to use having food for a repass. The only thing I would say needed attention there was broken glass on the stairs.

While I cannot speak for the whole park district itself, I highly don’t recommend joining BOSS for the theatrical shows. They charge you over $200 to audition (unless you have a family discount or something) and the shows are definitely not worth $200-something auditions. The only thing that saves the shows is the cast themselves. Highly don’t recommend and I was furious to hear you had to pay that much just to AUDITION. I feel bad for people who join BOSS without knowing the cost NOT getting what...

tl;dr: communicative, flexible, collaborative, kind, & reasonable rental fee

My husband & I had our wedding ceremony/reception under the big pavilion (Pavilion 1) this past September and the Decatur Park District really came through for us. They were great to work with and we were so grateful for their teamwork - we LOVE fairview and knew we wanted to share this special place with our family. If you ever want to have your wedding here - you'll be amazed with how you can...
