The Ranch at NRS — Attraction in Decatur

The two stars are solely on the behalf of staff, who were excellent and should be commended as such. The stay in the bunkhouse was a complete waste of our money, and being on disability this was more than just a disappointment. The bed was so high off the ground my wife had to request a step ladder and the mattress was so hard neither of us was able to sleep. There are supports of some kind in addition to the normal slats under the bed, and one fell the first time my wife laid down. The internet, room network, and TV only worked intermittently and was as useless as they were unreliable. There were only two small wastebaskets which held just enough for one night, but were overflowing by the second. Finally, no hot water. Showers were cold water only.

Very disappointed in the staff at the event center. I have been told on multiple occasions that we can ride our horses in the practice pen when it's not in use for something else. Today we tried to go and ride, two employees from the event center came by and said the location was for their events only. That clearly isn't what the other employees as well as the sign for the horse walker that says. My honest opinion on the matter is that all the employees should be on the same page as to weather or not we can actually ride here, and further more, I shouldn't be disrespected and talked down to because I am young and don't have the same nrs built 50 foot trailer that the rest of the people who ride there have. I definitely will be talking to customer service and go as far up the line of management to find out if I can ride my horses...
