Wee Care Park — Attraction in DeFuniak Springs

We enjoy spending time in the park and celebrating birthdays here. Its a very nice park. However, I feel there are some improvements that could enhance the experience for everyone. It would be beneficial to have monthly maintenance, including pressure washing the play equipment to remove all that mold from the outside of slides. Additionally, the toddler play equipment seems quite outdated, with some pieces showing cracks and some places holding water, leading to potential issues with mosquito nesting and black mold. Upgrading this toddler equipment would make it safer for younger children. Lastly, adding more benches around the play area would provide parents with comfortable seating nearby while their children play. It used to be great for our children when they would be able to play soccer on the soccer fields. However, the adults who play the frisbees/disks have taken over the fields. When the kids have their soccer games on Saturday and we were bullied by them disk adults bc they were practicing. One of their concreted squares where they throw from is 3 ft behind our children's goal. Why couldn't they have made that at another park such as Gene Hurley? This park is home to my favorite disc golf course. First nine are mostly long fairways allowing you to tear into it, then they get tighter near the end of the top nine, requiring a little finesse.The second nine tests your skills and nerve up in the woods. Tightly packed technical challenges until... hole 18 and you can let it all hang out. The rest of the park is well thought out, well laid out, and well maintained.
