Katz Park — Attraction in DeKalb Township

Worst dog park I've ever been to! My little town of a couple thousand people has a better dog park than this trash place. For 4 years now there have been two giant holes that have never been filled in that every time it rains fills into a massive puddle that's there for days afterwards. Not sure who the guy was who came up and started talking to all of us about how he's the new director(or whatever he called himself) and how he's going to take care of this dog park but yet nothing's been done other than just some cheap fence being put around another section and calling it another park even though your dog can easily get out of it. The best part about all of this is going in there after they mow the place because they don't bother picking up any of the toys that are left there so today for example there was a bunch little sharp plastic shards all over the place because they just ran over...

Love to bring my dogs to this dog park! It's free and is huge! They have a small dog and large dog section ❤ Usually everyone that comes is super nice and we all get along 😀 But, people who don't know anything about dogs, please educate yourself before bringing your unruly or aggressive dogs. You have to have enough control over your dog in order to stop fights or make sure your dog doesnt pick on other dogs. Also, people need to realize that dogs will dominate each other or put the other dogs in their place, its natural behavior, the owner needs to be able to tell their dog when it is enough or be able to make the decision to leave when their dog is getting annoyed by other dogs or is...

We love Katz Park. Have been bringing our dogs here for the past year. The dog park facility is fairly well equipped and in good shape. Waste bags, Spare balls, water dishes, picnic tables. water fountain in the warmer weather. The other dog owners and dogs are pretty good with another. If you are thinking of bringing your dog to the dog park for the first time: don't recommend keeping your pup on the leash for too long. Have noticed that the dogs on the leash get more defensive. The dogs do wrestle with another at this dog park btw. Fairly normal playing action. Warning because it can be unnerving at first.
