Great park, free for Pike County residents. My family and I (2kids and wife/husband). I tried getting help from the front life guard. I was told they didn’t know if they were renting canoes/boats that day. I finally went to the canoe place and found a life guard who was polite and helpful. She told me I had to go to the front house and pay for a boat/canoe receipt. I went back to the entrance house. I was told $5 for 30 mins. However, the website says $5 per boat per hour. I was told the website was wrong because it is $5 for 30 mins. I said ok, but I wanted to pay for 1 hour. He said I would have to canoe/boat for 30 mins, get out of water, walk all over to the front house (about 1000 feet from deck), then pay for an extra 30 mins at the front entrance .That does not make any sense. The young lifeguard said that’s what he has been told to do. I went on and paid 30 mins and go on my day. While the experience at the pond was amazing, the process and advertising in the website needs to be straightened out. I think the people who handle this park need to be educated on how to handle us as customers. This was during memorial day weekend. Most people around the beach area didn’t even know they...

Read moreIt's a nice place to visit if you're a PA resident. Checked the place out online but didn't see anywhere that Pike County residents are $2 an adult, PA residents are $5 per adult, and anyone out of state is $20. Cash only. Had I known this, we would have gone to the dozen other parks around that are free. That being said, bathrooms were nice and clean, Swim area was clean (freezing, but kids didn't mind), and had a really big playground. And if you have a lot of stuff, bring extra arms or a wagon because you're not allowed to unload near the lake area and the parking lot isn't...
