First review: Very narrow bridge, so cross slowly with your mirrors folded. The view on the bridge is amazing. Be prepared to have dollar change with you because, as you can see in the picture, no ezpass, cash toll collected by employee who stands between two lanes. ๐Ÿ˜€

2nd review: I crossed this bridge 2nd time on the 4th of July, 2019, and had a bad experience. On the bridge, before toll collector, three volunteers were wearing same color clothing as toll collector and standing in line very close to bridge, I thought they are toll collectors so gave one dollar toll and moved on. At the starting of the bridge, saw miserable lady standing so I thought I gave toll already so kept driving passed her and next thing is, she started screaming loudly this is a toll bridge, like I was going to run off for $1.00 toll, I stopped and told her that I gave toll to one of the gentleman already, she says those are volunteers like I knew. These volunteers were wearing the same vest as toll collector and no sign of the name of their charity. Her attitude was disgusting and unprofessional. We pay $19 toll on verrazano Bridge in NYC sometimes twice a day, so $1.00 toll is not an end of the world for us. This senior citizen lady needs a serious attitude adjustment and needs to come out from the cocoon of the small town world. It was a genuine mistake, and I have never seen volunteers standing so close to toll booths and never seen toll collectors collecting toll out in open. This bridge needs Ezpass toll collection very soon, so employees like her do not spread misery on an...

Avoid the TROLL on the bridge if you can... The Dingman's Ferry toll (not troll) bridge is a mandatory $1 fee when passing into or out of Dingman's Ferry, PA. The woman who sometimes operates the toll is fine. The man who operates it is a complete psychotic dipwad. I unfortunately only had a $20 on my person last time passing through, and he all but threw a tantrum. He told me "Give me the $20 and I'll give you $9...". I thought he was making a joke since that would be an $11 toll instead of $1. I paused for a second, only to be greeted by a stream of rudeness: "Ya got two HANDS!? Are you DEAF!!!??? Give me the $20!!!! I'll give you $9, and then a $10!" This guy is a complete nutjob on the verge of some impending catastrophe. While I appreciate that this is an inglorious job, this individual somehow falls well below the bare minimum expectations of being part of the human race, and I hope the Dingman's Ferry people relieve him of his duties sometime soon. I think he was having flashbacks from 'Nam. The bridge itself is historic and offers a great view of the...

Discriminatory against disabled people. Tried to charge me twice the price because of my wheelchair van. Told me he will "get me next time" after I had to argue. Absolutely awful attendant who was arguing with me that my wheelchair van should cost more because of its shape to acomodate a wheelchair lift. It still is registered as a passenger car, has only 2 axels, etc. To charge more money for disabled people to cross the bridge with their equipment is a violation of the Americans with Disabilities act, and I will be looking into pressing charges as this is absolutely outrageous that they want me to pay twice the price as everyone else who crosses because of my medical device...

I have adored this bridge for decades ever since crossing over her as a Boy Scout in the early 1980s. She is a stout, wrought-iron girl built from the components of a train bridge that once crossed the Susquehana River. Her massive iron pier guards no doubt allowed her to survive severe flooding in 1903, 1955, 2005, and 2006. She is, I believe, the fourth bridge to span this spot over the Delaware. The former bridges lacked her fortitude and resilience. She is the last privately-owned toll bridge over the Delaware River, owned by the Dingman family. Interestingly, no toll is charged for those traveling to church or a funeral.

One of Americas Last Private Toll Bridges! The Team that runs it , Veterans and family are friendly and hilarious. The view is beautiful any time of day but gorgeous in the morning. We paid $20 for a Big Book of tickets. It cost $1 to cross the bridge and you must pay the troll! Cash Cash Cash! The booklet is best way to go if your gonna cross a bunch so you always have the tickets in your truck/car, cuz I don't always have cash. I'll try to get some more shots next time. We love crossing this way!
