This little slice of beach could be the perfect area to walk, hang out, fish, picnic, bring your dogs, etc. for the locals or out-of-towners. There is a huge parking lot to withstand a decent amount of traffic, if only it wasn't so trashed. Trash was everywhere... in the brush, rocks, trails, road ways, marsh and on the beach areas. The trails, or something like it, were overgrown with nature and the whole area isn't maintained with any care or love at all. I found broken glass with every step I took- even on the waters edge! There is lots of driftwood to take, a decent size boat ramp, and a clean port-a-potty (atleast when I was there.) One nice weekend with about 50 people could clean-up this whole area in no time!!! Let's clean-up our...

I grew up down the street and loved coming here as a kid. Now that I have my own kid and moved an hour away, I make sure I bring him here every time I come and visit my parents. He loves it, too! The water can get very muddy and yucky during low-tide, so if you’re looking to go swimming it’s best to go during high-tide. It’s got plenty of space to relax in the sand with beaches on both sides of the boat ramp, and many people fish from the shore or even from the rocks. I love that there’s...

Warm, calm water with sand where we swam (large beach- there are two beach areas, if the small one is mobbed there is a larger area past the boat ramp). I saw people playing music, using umbrellas and canopies and kids with floaties. A couple guys caught large fish by fishing from the rock jetty, you can also fish from the large beach. There is a sandy walking trail off the small beach we enjoyed. Porta potties were open and clean. Kids loved it, didn't want to leave! Not a beach for shell collecting.

One of my favorite spots to take my boat out. But as of last Saturday 5/21. If you are returning at high tide. Pay close attention to the entrance through the rock jetty. The bouy markers have fallen into the water and cannot be seen at high tide. Pay close attention when returning, Approach from the north and you can see part of the Red marker on the north side of the concrete pillar it used to be bolted to.
