**** 0 changes from my previous review. Oh wait! I take that back. They now charge $15 for parking. Next year will be $20 I guess. They could charge you $50 and you'd just have to pay. Also, miserable cell reception. They have the room for a cell tower or 10. Basically this place gets away with providing the minimum possible. **** It's bang in the middle of nowhere. The nearest gas station is about 2 mi away. There's a fresh fish market on the other side of the exit which also has a restaurant. I think they have about 12 turf fields. Lots and lots of parking. A reasonably priced concession stand offering burgers, fries, soft drinks, Gatorade, coffee etc. There is also a "beer garden" which I did not visit. "So why only three stars?" you ask? Well here's why: 1) there is zero shelter from the elements. These playing surfaces were probably built on a farm, But everything was leveled. And so there's not a tree in sight that offers any kind of shade. We have been here in winter and in early summer and suffered both times. In winter the wind will chill you to your bone. In summer you just sit and bake in the sun. Some people have gotten smart and bring canopies. But if you don't have a canopy you better have brought your umbrella. 2) it's $10 a day for parking. We were given friendly reminders almost on the hour throughout the day that parking was $10 and if you didn't pay, your car could be towed away. The announcer even says very clearly that it's a friendly reminder. But you better take that reminder seriously because this is the last place in the world that you want to be without transportation. Like I said it's in the middle of nowhere. So you really don't have a choice. You can't walk here for sure. There's no public transportation that's going to bring you here. So yeah you have to drive your car and then you have to pay them $10 a day for parking your car there. In the big picture $10 isn't a big deal but when you feel that they're basically holding you at ransom then I don't like that feeling. But I paid the $20 for the two days that I parked my car there in the hot sweltering sun. The only other facility that I have gone to where they have charged for parking is spooky nook in Philadelphia and they charge $5 a day. And theirs is a fully indoors air conditioned facility. 3) tiny restroom. One regular stall and a handicap stall in the men's section. In my humble opinion that's totally inadequate for a facility as large as this. 4) a Spring Hill Suits is coming up close by. Besides that there are very few places to stay near by. As inconvenient as it gets. Pictures to show the vast emptiness.

Please read the entire review. The DE Turf Sports Complex is a new Park in Delaware which has turf fields which can be used for multiple outdoor sports. There are 12 fields for Football, Soccer, Field Hockey and more. My son's club Soccer team from Maryland participated in the APC Beast of the East Columbus day soccer tournament October 12th and 13th, 2019. The complex is newer and very clean. The restrooms are very clean and well kept. There is a concession area with plenty of space. There is ample parking at the facility which brings me to my complaint about the complex. At no time was anyone from our club leadership team told that the DE complex would charge a fee to pay for parking at the facility. However, the complex strategically place "some" signs along certain fences along some of the sidewalks leading up to a couple of the fields. The fees are to be paid by downloading the DE parking app on a smartphone or calling a number on a sign. If you were walking briskly to locate a field you can easily miss the signs. That is until you come back to your car and you see the warning notice of a ticket on your car. The warning notice will provide "ways to pay for parking." The DE Sports Complex parking gurus will give you a warning on your first day, stating that you have just received a warning for parking in the complex. The next offense will be a $30 ticket if you don't put the app on your phone or call the toll-free number to pay to park. This is very misleading because the signs "as I finally found out" do not state that the parking is enforced by the municipal city ordinance, the County Police, nor any organization. So the consumer is left wondering who was enforcing this parking? Are the posted signs an advertisement for downtown Dover parking? My kids teams have been playing in club soccer for about seven years now and we have never been charged to park at any of the facilities where the games are being played. Folks, beware that if anyone received a ticket on day 2 of the tournament, you may want to research if a parking ticket from a public park can lead to collections on your credit report if left unpaid? There is nothing stated in the park who enforces the tickets? I wouldn't think that anything can be done negatively impacting your drivers license or license plates with your local MVA if the parking fine is not paid. I WILL BE ADVISING MY CHILDRENS SOCCER CLUBS TO NEVER PLAY IN A TOURNAMENT AT THE DE TURF SPORTS COMPLEX AGAIN.

My daughter’s field hockey and soccer teams regularly practice and compete at DE Turf Complex, and it’s consistently proven to be an excellent venue—especially for larger regional tournaments. With 12 full-sized fields that can easily convert into 24 half-fields, there’s ample space to accommodate multiple games at once. The fields are clearly marked, and the layout handles large crowds well, as well as providing room for the vendors. The one drawback is the concession setup. There’s only a single, very small stand, which leads to extremely long wait times. It’s also card-only, and the prices are steep—so be prepared. They would also benefit from some porta-potties in addition to their restrooms, as the lines can get incredibly long for the women during the larger tournaments.

The fields - nice. The size of the parking lot - nice. Pay to park - scam. Food prices - rip off. Expect clean and stocked bathrooms - not going to happen. Was at DE for a soccer tournament they ran and while the play was good, the facility left alot to be desired. Mostly staffed by college kids so don't expect alot of work being done. One blond hair kid in a ball cap was flying around the place at a good 25 mph in a golf cart down side walks full of people, across parking lots, jumping curbs. Most trash cans are full and not emptied often. Bathrooms always needed attention. The one by field 11 needed tp and soap. Told the girl working the food stand there and she said, I called twice and they ignored me. Try and catch someone else I can't do anything. Another girl in a cart driving around was always on FaceTime and not watching where she was going and all most hit a family with young kids. This was my 2nd time to get his place and I won't...
