Great for mountain biking and hiking/running but very busy during the weekends. Not great for birding because of all the activity. The mountain bikers were all very respectful and polite, matter of fact, the best place I've been for giving you a heads up they are coming and how many in the party. The trails are marked on the board at the trail head, but not very well marked on the trails. The birding trail is not marked at all on the board, and not on the City of Newark parks website map. You can find the birding map on Delaware nature society website in their brochure. It's a shame we missed the birding trail the first time...

We're from Bucks County PA and drove down Sunday the 15th of August 2021. My 1st time there. The trails are stupid fun, we did about 20 miles. And we didn't get too it all. Only reason it gets 4 ⭐s is the guys in the parking lot were professional douchebags. When we pulled in they we're just finishing up, we were all " yo how's it going" and "hay what's up?" My boy gave us the stink eye like a boss! Then, even better, after he blew us off he walked over to his supper awesome bros and they lit up cigars. This at about 8am. Now I know my crew isn't nearly as cool as Chad, Rick and Bobby but come on guys lighten up it's just...

Beautiful park. But I thought to leave a comment after seeing a shady looking man, just standing there by himself, as I was going for a walk. I saw him from afar and he saw me. I felt eery but kept going. I was thinking maybe he was standing there looking out at deer or a creek. When I walked passed him, I noticed there was nothing there; he was just standing there. After walking only about 5 feet passed him I turned around before I got deeper into the woods. I would most certainly go back to this beautiful park, but only with...

Had a beautiful time. I took the snow goose trail.they do have a big board at the entrance that shows the different trails ; how long they are etc. Went on my lunch break with my lil dog. Got a nice lil recording of baby birds. Which you could hear though out the hike at different places. That was really neat because i never heard baby birds sound like that. I only did half the trail . there is no parking fee. I do have a yearly pass to get into the state parks any way.

Excellent bike trails, there is sick...√ boulder climb and descend ,chair rails , steeplechase , definitely šŸ’Æ wear your protection gear and not for the novice, many sharp turns and couple narrow cliff turns, šŸ¤”šŸ’Æ pleasant atmosphere and enjoy your feeling the outdoors breeze of the cool high altitude air of the mountains šŸŒ„, Adrenaline rush as your heart gets pumping, Be safe and respectful to other riders and I will compare to a BMX course but out in the wild 😜 Ā£

I throughly enjoyed my walk at Middle Run Valley Natural Area. There is obviously a determined effort to preserve this habitat! The trails were well marked - both in the forest as well as out in the fields - the small bridges aided in crossing the creek, and the dirt bike riders had what seemed to be an obstacle course of sorts. Upon exiting the forest, I found an array of wildflowers and honeysuckle and had the pleasure of meeting a couple of hawks.
