This was a really interesting and cool place to stop. Despite the two bus loads of kids that got there at the same times as me, I had no problems seeing the park. You have two options of seeing the park, walking or driving. It cost $6.00 per person and worth every penny. Take your time and learn about a group of people that lived here long ago. There was plenty of parking and clean bathrooms. They also have a water bottle fountain. And, don't forget to stamp your...

Very impressive. We were staying at a near by State Park and took the 15-mile drive over to explore. Being senior citizens, our admittance was free. It was brutally HOT and we made the mistake of walking the route to D Mound. Got back to the museum where we had a chance to cool off before catching the last tram ride around the main Mounds. The tram tour is nice, very informative, took about 40-mins. Museum and small store are...

Well worth the trip! Very affordable admission gets you in the museum and a guided tour of the mounds. The folks working here are very passionate about maintaining the integrity of the area, and with good reason. This was created long before the white man ever thought about "discovering" the area, and so much could have been lost before the area was deemed a national monument and put on the map for all to come...

This small but wonderful museum is a little bit off the beaten path of I-20, but well worth the time if you're into indigenous people's history. The information on the hiking path and the driving tour are both available at the museum. There is a small admission fee, $4. I would watch the two movies at the visitor center first and explore the artifacts on display there before hiking the path.
