Super nice park. Disc golf course is fairly technical and really makes you weigh the risk/reward in going for the pin. There are a few places where you could lose a disc to water but when I went (September) the water was down which opened up the fairways by the swampy area a little more. There's foliage but it's not overly thick so if you go off the fairway on the wooded holes it's not too difficult to find it. Having cement tee pads are nice, James Conrad would appreciate the length of them.
The baskets are garbage though due to their age. Bring your putting A-game because if you're a tiny bit off center you're getting a spit out. There's a couple of more modern baskets which makes the old baskets seem even more jarring. I'm not a local and probably won't be here again for a while so I can't really speak for any DG clubs, but I would suggest they hold a fund raiser for...
Read moreWe had my grandson's open house here. Worth every penny! We were very happy with the size and layout of the pavilion. It has a fireplace (it was chilly that morning), a kitchen and a separate building with bathrooms. The women's bathroom was surprisingly clean. The appliances in the kitchen were old, but worked. Bring your own soap, sponges, towels if you will be using the kitchen. There were several trash cans around the property and employees came through to change trash bags and made sure we didn't need anything. Also lots of picnic tables. There was a play area for kids, horseshoe pits (bring your own horseshoes), a volleyball net across the other side of the parking area, and the park also has a disc golf course. Very happy, no...
Read moreThis rating/review is for the disc golf course only. Not the park as a whole. We travel all over the state playing as many course as we can, but will not be playing this course again. Holes were flooded, making them impossible to play. The mosquitoes were extremely thick. The baskets were old, and definitely need to be upgraded. I can deal with all that, as it is a free course. My biggest issue was the lack of signage. We kept getting lost, and didn't know where the next hole was, or couldn't figure out where the basket was from the teepad. There's also play equipment near the course so we had to deal with kids running through the fairway. Positives: cement teepads, picnic table and trash can at...
