If you want to find half billion year old fossils, and have fun with the family doing it, this is the place!
We spent two days at A New Dig in early spring with Clay and Jessica and had the time of our lives exploring ancient rocks and fossils. Our young boys adored Clay and his fascination with trilobites. My wife had the sweetest interactions with Jessica and their young boy.
The site is off the beaten trail and has a peace that can’t be described with words. The land is so welcoming and beautiful that you forget about everything but the dirt and sky. This place is magical and restorative. Cannot recommend a better family trip destination. Thank you Clay...

I would suggest safety glasses and gloves as well. Clay and Jessica were wonderful! They are very knowledgeable and passionate about helping you find great fossils. Thank you Clay...

We got individual attention and help. Hammers and chisels were provided. Each of us got about 10 large, whole trilobites in about 5 hours - plus numerous smaller/partials. I absolutely recommend!
